Yes, We're Still Alive...Barely

So I had a dream last night that I updated the blog, so I thought maybe that was a sign that I should actually do it, Haha! This has been one crazy summer, and it will take me a while to get all caught up, but at least this is a start.

People have been a bit confused as to where we're at now, although I wouldn't know why???? We're in Arizona now. We've been here for about a month now. Texas was great, but work just slowed down too much. We decided to leave before we started losing money. So we moseyed on a couple states further west to the even hotter desert of Arizona. Texas is a HUGE state it took us 10 hours of driving before we were in a new state!

So we've been asked several times if we regret going out this summer to do this, and this is our "official statement". The summer was full of surprises, some fun and exciting, others not so great. But we got to go and do something we'll probably never get to do again. We drove all the way to Florida, then to Texas, and to Arizona. We saw lots of the country and enjoyed each other's company. We learned how to cram the absolute maximum amount of things into a car and still have room for 2 people and a dog. We made FABULOUS friends and strengthened other friendships. Brian gained a lot of confidence in himself. He was put in some difficult situations that gave him some great customer service experience. He learned to stand up for himself and not let others take advantage of him. Most of all he figured out what he wants to "be when he grows up". So do we regret this summer? No, but it sure didn't pan out the way any of us expected.

Brian decided he wants to be a Heating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician. There is a school dedicated to that line of work in Phoenix. He started last Friday. Any of you who know Brian know that he struggled in school. But he is LOVING everyday in THIS school. He comes home each day SO EXCITED with what he's learning. He had his first test yesterday and passed!! He said it was the first test that he had studied for by himself and passed. I'm so glad that he's made this decision to go to school and that he's thriving in it.

So this kinda gets us up to date, my goal is to get back into blogging regularly, so we'll get all caught up.
